Cybercrime

CYBERCRIME

Cybercrime dapat diartikan sebagai kejahatan oleh seseorang melawan hukum dengan menggunakan sarana internet. Kejahatan ini memanfaat jaringan internet yang menghubungkan berbagai PC sedunia (cyberspace). Berikut ciri-ciri dari cybercrime :

1. Kejahatan yang melintasi batas-batas negara.

2. Merupakan perbuatan ilegal yang dilaksanakan pada dunia maya (cyberspace).

3. Mengakibatkan kerugian yang lebih besar daripada kejahatan konvesional.

4. Menggunakan piranti yang berhubungan dengan komputer dan internet.  

Keamanan data dalam e-banking dan e-commerce menjadi hal penting dalam aktifitas tersebut. Ada dua cara bentuk aktifitas terhadap jaringan PC yaitu cracking dan hacking. Hacking adalah usaha memasuki sebuah jaringan, dengan maksud mengeksplorasi atau mencari kelemahan sebuah jaringan. Sedangkan cracking adalah usaha memasuki jaringan untuk mencuri, mengubah, merusak file atau data yang disimpan pada jaringan tersebut. Hacker dan cracker adalah sebutan bagi pelaku tindakan tersebut. Berdasarkan penelitian tidak ada jaringan yang benar-benar aman dari tindakan cybercrime tersebut, yang bisa dilakukan yakni melakukan pencegahan dengan tidak membuka spam, website dan mengaktifkan fasilitas Internet Firewall agar keamanan data terjamin. Berikut ini adalah bentuk-bentuk cybercrime :

1. Unauthorized Acces

    Kejahatan yang dilakukan dengan memasuki PC atau jaringan komputer secara tidak sah. Penyusupan ini dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan kelemahan sistem keaman jaringan yang disusupi.

2. Illegal Content

    Bentuk cybercrime yang dilakukan dengan cara memasukan data / informasi tentang suatu hal yang tidak asli untuk merugikan orang lain.

3. Data Forgery 

    Tindakan cybercrime dengan cara memasukkan data-data palsu.

4. Cyber Epsionage

    Tujuan dari tindakan cybercrime ini hanya untuk memata-matai dari jaringan komputer untuk mendapatkan informasi rahasia suatu perusahaan ataupun negara.

5. Phishing 

    Adalah tindakan cybercrime yang dirancang untuk mengecohkan korban agar memberikan data-data pribadinya kesitus yang telah disiapkan pelaku seperti situs fordeon.com. Korban akan diminta data-data pribadinya seperti ID, Passowrd, dan PIN untuk kepentingan pelaku yang jelas merugikan korbannya.

6. Carding

    Sebuah kejahatan penipuan dengan menggunakan credit card fraund atau kartu kredit. Penipuan tersebut dilakukan dengan cara mencuri data-data pengguna kartu kredit. Para pelaku carding disebut carder dapat melakukannya dengan menginstall program spoofing pada website tertentu.

Koneksi Internet

Salah satu cara untuk dapat terhubung ke internet adalah dengan menghubungkan Personal Computer ke jaringan yang terhubung ke internet. Cara ini banyak dipakai oleh perusahaan, sekolah-sekolah dan tentunya  warnet-warnet.

Macam-Macam Koneksi Internet :
1. Dial-Up
    Cara menghubungkan PC ke internet menggunakan kabel telepon biasa atau disebut juga dial-up. Kecepatan akses internet menggunakan dial-up mencapai 56kbps. Dengan teknologi PowerSurf Dial Up, kecepatan akses menggunakan dial-up dapat mencapai 4-5 kali dari biasanya yang disediakan oleh Provider Internet.

2. GPRS
    Singkatan dari General Packet Radio Service, adalah teknologi pada handphone yaitu komunikasi data dan suara yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan perantara gelombang radio. Transfer data pada GPRS mencapai 115kbps, yang mentransfer data dengan sistem paket. Teknologi GPRS memungkinkan anda untuk dapat mengakses internet dari mana saja melalui SIM card yang menyediakan jasa layanan GPRS.

3. WiFi
    Sambungan komunikasi tanpa kabel atau Wirelless Fidelity, teknologi ini menggunakan frekuensi tinggi pada spektrum 2,4 GHz. Dengan menggunakan WiFi dapat mengakses internet dengan kecepatan 11mbps. Daerah yang mendapat sinyal dari WiFi berada pada radius 100m dari titik akses atau hotspot. Kelemahan dari WiFi yakni jika banyak pengguna dapat mengurangi kecepatan akses dan hotspot hanya pada radius 100m dari titik akses dengan WiFi card yang terdapat pada laptop atau notebook Anda.
    Saat ini sedang dikembangkan Wirelless Brodband atau WiBro yang mencakup 1 km area hotspot, akses WiBro ini dapat dilakukan dari kendaraan yang bergerak dengan kecepatan sampai 60km/jam.

4. Jaringan TV Kabel
    Kelebihan mengakses internet dengan memakai jaringan TV kabel yaitu dapat mengakses internet setiap saat tanpa gangguan dari telepon yang sibuk. Biaya yang dikeluarkan dalam mengakses internet merupakan satu paket dengan layanan TV kabelnya. Jaringan TV kabel adalah jaringan dengan jalur komunikasi data yang lebar, TV kabel juga dapat menampilkan gambar bergerak dan suara.
